~A Family is Life's Greatest Blessing~
Happy Friday! After a long week, I'm looking forward to spending some down time at home...Doing all the things I love most...Cooking, tidying, organizing, and of course...Scrappin!
Hope you've all been well. I think of all of u quite often...So I'm dropping in with a quick little project I want to share with you before I get busy with creating for the next Scrap That! release :)
I have wanted to do this project for a while now, but haven't quite had the right product/idea in mind...That is, of course, until I started playing along with Webster's incredibly beautiful new Digi Art...I had never had an opportunity to dabble in digi art before this, so please be kind as I learn this new and exciting area of paper crafting...Seriously...No laughing permitted at my digi abilities...Or should I say....In-abilities :)
So here it goes....
I introduce you to my very first....
Webster's Pages Hybrid Project!!!

So here it goes....
I introduce you to my very first....
Webster's Pages Hybrid Project!!!
I created a three-part wall-hanging out of mini 6x6 canvases, using stunning traditional and digital products from Webster's Pages (in case you're wondering, this makes it a hybrid project).
As you can see above, I printed teeny little photos for my canvases, and the black portion of the vintage frame you see underneath the rose and above the canvas ribbon, is a digital file from the Life's Portrait collection by Webster's Pages.
The canvas ribbon features a WP sparkler which is even more beautiful in person than in the photo...Seriously...It's gorgeous!
To hold the canvases together, I used this gorgeous WP trim and as you can see in the pic, it is a beautiful eyelet trim that is quite wide...So instead of trimming off the excess and tossing it, I simply tied a couple of bows that I layered on top of one another, to create a shabby canvas bow :) So all of the ribbon and trim you see on this project, actually comes from the same trim! I also can't wait to try misting this trim...No cream trim is safe from my mists!
On the side of the trim handle I added a few flowers and a WP chipboard button...I love these buttons because they can be painted, stamped, sanded, covered with paper, or simply left as is...AND... Now you can get these beautiful buttons in digi format too
I was also fortunate enough to play around with some of the lovely Unity/Webster's Pages Itty Bitty stamps (which I completely and totally adore to bits) so I stamped the floral design in a green ink and layered it underneath the Prima rose...
I printed off the same WP Life's Portrait Digi Frame onto plain white cardstock (just increased the size a bit) and layered some more of that gorgeous trim around the edges...I painted the trim, Prima flowers (Fairytale roses and Athena), and the little whimsies with Distress Crackle white paint...
I also printed a digi vintage frame from the WP Country Estate collection and layered my title on top...
And one more bow created from the trim leftovers to complete the final canvas piece...
I am now officially addicted to hybrid scrappin (this is coming from a girl who SWORE to never, ever, ever stray from traditional scrappin)...How does that phrase go...Never say Never?
Next thing you know, I'll be converted into a full-out digi scrap-a-holic :)
So for all of you digi skeptics, head over to Webster's Digi Products and I dare you to not give in to the awesomeness that awaits!
Hope u all have a lovely night. Much love.
