~A Stamp n' Paper Kind of Day~
Welcome!
Today, I have two projects to share, which feature some of my very favorite two things, The Craft's Meow stamps, and Maja Design paper.
If you are here for the TCM blog hop, then you are in the right place!
I hope you've had a chance to check out the stop before me, Gayatri's blog. If not, I hope you'll visit her and see her beautiful creation!
The theme for today's hop is Love and Valentine's Day. Just in time for the fluttery celebration I love so much.
My sweetie and I are celebrating our first Valentine's Day as a married couple, and I am so excited about it! Not that there is anything that different about the day in particular, but it is a milestone of sorts, and both of us are looking forward to it very much.
With that in mind, I created a super lovey-dovey card and tag duo for you today!
The card is a combination of many layers and lots of stamping, so here is the break-down.
For the base of the card I used white cardstock and stamped a few designs on the left hand corner using the Inspired by Audrey stamp set from TCM. I also used this set to stamp the elegant frame, which I then cut out (very carefully, might I add) with my scissors.
I added some die-cut & stamped floral images to this card, peeking from under the frame. I used Versa Magic ink, along with Distress ink.
For the side hearts, I used Maja Design paper, from the Vintage Summer Basics Collection (paper # 1905)
For the sentiment, I used a stamp from the Stitched Sentiments set, and added a bit of color using my light pink Copic marker.
For the bottom part of the card I used another beautiful Maja Design paper, from the Crea Diem Collecton (Fylld Av Karlek - I used the backside of the paper here, whichi is the beautiful brown peeking out at the bottom of the card).
I then embossed the lovely lilac paper, with beautiful hearts, using an embossing folder by Tim Holtz. Before adding some lace, I punched the bottom of the paper and then added a die-cut banner (I used this die), die-cut felt heart (from this die), and die-cut little tag (using this die).
For the little tag, I used the same papers, and added a little patch, stamped with designs from the Inspired by Audrey set from TCM. I adorned the corner of the patch with more darling little florals.
I always love dotting my little liquid pearls anywhere that they will fit, so I lined the outside of the tag with them.
Once again, I used the Stitched Sentiments stamp set with a bit of Copic coloring for the sentiment.
If you are playing along in today's blog hop for TCM, or would like to see how the rest of the girls used the beautiful stamps in some love-inspired projects, then your next stop is Jennie's awesome blog!
