~Grateful for So Many Things~
Today is just the kind of day I love. In my calendar it reads: "Catch-Up Day" and I am so looking forward to it. I love the idea of knowing that there is a whole day penciled in just for that :)
No rush, no hustle and bustle, just focusing on all the neglected bits of the last several weeks. A few listings to add to the shoppe and some orders to ship out, gifts to package, and emails to return - are just some of the things I've got planned for today.
After all the errands are done, and the tidying is finished, on days like this, I usually spend some time organizing a little part of whichever room needs it the most - and today - that is the scrap room. Most of the room is packed up now, and the items that remain are just odds and ends that have to be sorted before they are packed.
And my most favorite part of catch-up day is that I take some time to catch up on fun things, too - like reading all the comments here and visiting heaps of blogs that I haven't gotten around to lately.
I have had a teensy peek at some of the comments on my last few posts, and I am just so touched by all of your kindness. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all of the happy house wishes, wonderful comments on our vacation post (Leah - I had no clue that you lived so near to where we visited! I sense a detour in our future travels to Arizona!), and as always, the incredibly kind words about my cards.
I am so, so thankful for your continued support of my little blog. To think that I share my creations and words with even one person, warms my heart, and to know that so many of you read, engage and comment on the posts is more than I could have ever imagined. Truly,
it is a blessing beyond measure and I am so happy to be able to share not only my creations, but little bits of my life with you all. I hope you all know how much your time and your sweet comments touch my heart. Thank you :)
Getting back to catch-up day, it seems that I have forgotten a very important to-do, and I suppose it is most fitting that I share the happy news today. Albeit a couple of days late, it is my pleasure to announce
the Maja Design Vintage Autumn Basics collection winner is comment #7...
Karen Otterbacher!!!!!!
Congrats Karen! Please contact me with your address, so that I can get the papers on their way to you.

Seeing as the forecast calls for snow in the next day or so, I also have a few little cards to share with you, as it is still technically Autumn here :)
I picked up a couple of these pretty papers while visiting Scrapbooks Etc in Mesa. What a beautiful store...Not only is it full of scrapbook goodies, but half of the store houses a fabric shoppe, full of the yummiest patterns and most scrumptious colors. I came home with a few, of course, and I can't wait to share with you what I am creating with the pretty prints.
For now, I wanted to cut into these pretty Echo Park papers before it was too late and Winter was upon us. I just love the pretty colors and how muted they are.
I did a teensy bit of stamping on these cards, using the WPlus9 Quilt Prints stamp.
The little clay frame is a design by Martha Stewart.
On the next card, I added a few chipboard accents to the paper layers, as well as a teensy bit more stamping.
Next up is my favorite card of the set. The little mason jar is the sweetest touch and it brings such a cozy feeling to any card...Especially with these warm, Autumn colors.
The jar die and stamp set are from Papertrey Ink.
Both of the sweet sentiments are from the Half and Half stamp set from PTI.
And for the last creation, I used PTI's Seed Packet die to create this little pocket. Off to add these to the shoppe :)
I hope you are all enjoying this beautiful Autumn day,
*Ivana*

ReplyDeleteHi Ivana! Love this little collection of cards! What kind of clay or other medium did you use to make the circle-frame in the Martha Stewart mold? Sure is pretty...
