Holiday Card Set #2 - Wreaths Galore - Christmas with Pinkfresh

Hello Lovlies! It's day three of my mini-series - Christmas with Pinkfresh - which features some of my favorite ways to use the most recent Holiday stamp + die collection from PFS!

Each post features a quickie card, as well as one that's a tad more involved. You can visit the first and second post of this series here, for more Holiday inspiration ;)

Anyone else a lover of all things wreath-y and green? If I could deck our ENTIRE home with wreaths, I would. Thankfully, they look just as lovely in paper form.

Today's cards, with layers of festive wreaths, glittery bits and a little bit of coloring (reserved for those cozy nights by the fireplace), are my go-to for decadent, yet easy Holiday cards.

My first card features a quick take on the Layered Wreath die set. At first glance, this wreath die may look simple..I assure you, it is anything but! With the extra die pieces, as well as stacking capabilities, it's quickly become one of my favorites for that ultra luxe look on a short time frame. Especially if you've prepped up a Holiday kit, like I did here. For this card, I've paired two hues of teal cardstock, along with some peachy white dots and sequins for the berries. It only takes a few minutes to cut + assemble, but the look is so gorgeous, don't you think?
Of course, if you wish to make the wreath even more decadent, cut a few extra layers and stack away ;)

I used the Classic Holiday Words dies for the sentiment, and I have to admit, I'm really loving the size and the font of these lovely dies. They are just large enough to fill up the card, yet small enough to let the other elements of the card show. They are also super versatile - whether you mat things up or just use the words alone. For all these reasons, I think this set is kind of fabulous!
To finish this card, I paired everything up with an older die set, which stretches quite well year-round, and works perfectly well for Christmas crafting - the Classic Edgers die. A tiny deer from the Merry Days set is the sweetest finishing touch.

For my next card, I amped up the layers a tad, by stamping the beautiful Cozy Christmas Wishes stamp onto my base with a soft blush embossing powder, and a few Copic hues to add some detailing to the leaves and berries. I also left part of the sentiment un-inked, and stamped it with dark green hue afterwards, for just a wee bit of contrast.

I made the wreath much the same way, and swapped out my carsdstock hues for the sentiment. Which do you like better, light on dark, or dark on light??

At the bottom, I added a strip of super duper sparkly paper, and just a few more loosely stamped leaves with the newest Pinkfresh ink in Olive, Evergreen and Fresh Pear.

Which card do you prefer - simple or all decked out? I'll be sharing another set tomorrow!

    1. Ugh, one of the downfalls of using a scrap pile is not having a clue where the papers came from! lol I've found the closest hues in the Core'dinations cardstock line - Poseidon and Vienna Lake. But I think they may be discontinued as I couldn't find them online :( And a big yes over here to wreath-ing everything!! One day we shall make wreaths together, I hope! Thanks so much for your notes, sweet friend! xoxo

  2. I'm a sucker for wreaths, so love both of these, Ivana! Almost got the layered wreath, but in the end went for a different one. Hard to pick a favorite, but I do keep looking at the simple one & want to case it!

    1. Oh I would love to see, and I think you would rock it! This little die has a special place in my heart, but I must admit, I am a bit of a wreath-die hoarder. It might just be my favorite die style :) Thanks so much for your note, sweet friend!
