Hello Friends, welcome to the Pinkfresh Studio March release hop,
featuring the new line-up of slimline dies!
If you are unfamiliar with slimline cards, they are just a fancy word for the beautiful, elongated cards that have been trending all over insta lately. Just in case you haven't jumped on this trend, I'm also sharing a regular-sized card in my post today, because these dies work for both. Yay!
First up, my slimline card, showcasing the gorgeous Slim Lacy Edgers. This set of dies comes with three beautiful designs which are long enough to line the length of the entire card. But they can also be used to add borders to scrapbook layouts, or even shorter cards. I was super impressed with how smoothly these cut without a shim, and I love how the different styles layer.
A close up at the two styles - a circular and floral design that come in the set.
I accented the rest of my card with the Floral Vase stamps and dies, and added some marker dots, and dotted vellum.
I added a sentiment from the Eucalyptus Fantasy set, embossed in a sparkly powder, and scattered in a few flowers from the Make a Wish set.
My next card is a standard size, but I've used two of the slimline dies to add the background - the Stitched Scalloped Circle Panel and the Diagonal Stripes. I love that both leave an instant border on the edges, and can be cut to whatever length you need.
To accent my card, I used the Make a Wish set for the cake, and the Eucalyptus Fantasy set for the greenery. I left this cutie without a sentiment - not sure if it will be used for a birthday, a wedding or some other type of celebration..We will see :)
