Now that Halloween is over....it's time for the most wonderful time of the year! I still remember what it felt like to believe in Santa...And the magical feeling in the air that surrounded the Holidays. For us, the Christmas season was long - as our family was extensive with many different backgrounds. We celebrated many traditions and different religious days along with Christmas itself - including St. Nicholas Day, and Orthodox Christmas. It was not uncommon for the festivities to stretch on for a month or more. But my favorite, as I'm sure any kiddo would agree, was Christmas, and all the goodies left by St. Nick under our chimney...Today's card is inspired by just that.

How FUN is this card? I LOVE!!!!!
ReplyDeleteIvana, this design is incredible! I would NEVER think to combine those colours but you've done it beautifully and with your signature feminine aesthetic - I love it!! Your childhood holiday celebrations sound wonderful, and I always love hearing what traditions my friends grew up with. When I was little, we would make gingerbread houses every year - as in, my mum would buy the gingerbread house kits, do all the construction, and my sister and I would decorate with whatever sweets our hearts desired. I think there were about as many sweets that ended up in our bellies as on the gingerbread house, but I always said it was part of the quality control process!
ReplyDeleteOh how fun! Santa looks absolutely charming in his polka dot hat!
