TCM Blog Hop

Welcome to our mid-release Blog Hop!

If you've arrived from Gayatri's blog, then you are in the right place!
Otherwise, you can head back to the TCM page, to see the full blog hop list.

As you might have already been able to tell from my post title, today's blog hop is somewhat of a bittersweet one.
All of the stamp sets featured on this hop, are being retired.
I'm  always sad to see beautiful designs discontinued, but I also know that it is a way to make room for new designs, and a great opportunity for anyone who likes great deals to stock up on beautiful products that they might have passed up otherwise.

I have to say I am so happy that I had the chance to work with this stamp set over the last few months. It is one of my faves, and so my card today is all about I've Got Your Number.

One of my favorite things about this particular set is the font style of the numbers. They are bold and rather simple, which makes them super easy to cut out. They also happen to be the perfect size for cardmaking and for scrapbooking...The best of both worlds!

Despite the fact that I love the number stamps in this set, for today's card, I decided to use some of the words instead of the numbers to see how they turn out.

And guess what? Love 'em just as much!

I love the font and the size, as well as the fact that all the word segments are separated so that it is easy to form different greetings for a card.

For the base of this card, I used some pastel-colored pattern papers, as well as a doily die-cut from this die

I added a couple of flowers, buttons and die cut starts from this die

I added a bit of black for a punch against all the pastel layers, and a few dashes of liquid pearls around the button embellishment.

If you have been waiting to try out this set, this is the perfect time to do so and I hope my card will give you some inspiration of all the ways you can use these beautiful stamps!

The retired sets will be available as long as they are in stock...And to make the deal even sweeter, TCM is offering an additional 15% off the already reduced prices of the retiring stamp sets, many of which have already been marked down up to 50%!

The code to enter at the checkout is Winter15.

The sale goes through 11:59 pm Pacific on Friday, January 11th.

If you can't decide which retiring set you'd like to go with, there is so much more to still see on the hop, and many more stamp set features...

Your next stop on the hop is Jean's lovely blog!

Also, for an extra little bonus, be sure to leave a comment on the TCM blog as well, for a chance to win a retiring stamp set of your choice!
The deadline is at 9 pm Pacific on Wednesday, January 9th.

Happy Hopping!
