Warm Holiday Wishes - Right at Home + Papertrey Ink | Mixing No-Line + Lined Coloring

Hello, hi-ya! I hope you've all the had a fabulous Christmas! The holidays are not quite over yet, and this is a little sparkle-filled, catch-all (maybe New Year?) card I've made with my most recent stamp addition is possibly my favoritest so far! I adore this sweet little chica, and my stash has nothing like this stamp, so I was thrilled to get this cutie! In all honesty, I knew she was coming my way, but I also have a pile of goodies to show over the next few days that were a complete surprise - Santa was very kind to me this year! I was hoping to put them all to use already, but the Holidays were a little more low key than I expected, and I only made this one card! So for now, I thought I'd share this lil peek, but I'll be back :)

To start my card, I used a quatrefoil stencil to add an ink-blended design to the base, using soft hues from PTI - Harvest Gold and Pale Peony

I added a heap of Nuvo drops all around the card - really loving the extra dimension it gives this card!

For the sentiment, I used PTI's Holiday Hugs kit, stamped in coordinating colors.

To color this adorable image, I first stamped it in a very soft grey ink. I used my Copic markers to color in all the little bits, and then added some black marker outlines just where I wanted more detail. I left the hair strands, mittens, and cheeks un-lined. I think this technique gives the overall image a bit of pop, while still keeping some softness due to less black overall.

To finish the card, I added some heat-embossed snowflakes, rhinestones and PPP crystals.

Thank you so much for visiting! Catch ya back here tomorrow :)

  2. Love the stenciled background, Ivana--really adds to your sweet card! I can't get Nuvo Drops to work anymore, so I've switched to Pico Embellisher. Just wish they came in transluscent colors.
