Double Cuts with Pinkfresh Studio Dies

Good morning, Friends! It's my Birthday today! To celebrate, I'm sharing a little post over on the Pinkfresh blog, with some girly, frilly designs! I've mixed up a heap of pretty things from the the latest release, as well as releases past, so come along, and let's have some fun!

This little design was a happy accident.
While playing with the pretty Geo Floral die from Pinkfresh, I completely forgot to add my shim, which on an intricate design like this, meant that much of the design was imprinted, but not fully cut. What's a girl to do, but just go with the flow ;)
To save the day, I used the Inverted Stitched Scalloped Circle dies to cut out the center and only popped out a few of the little pieces around the edges.

I layered my overlay onto a soft mint cardstock, and added a little acetate design to back the scalloped opening. To the top, I added a gummy rose, some string, and pretty jewels all around the circle opening.

In the center of the card, I added some puffy stickers from the Joyful Day collection, along with some puffy alphas

At the bottom, a sweet little heart from the Everyday Musings collection.

I ended up liking this look so much, I made another card in the same style. This time around a few more of the pieces came out, which was fine by me. I really like this organic look, and think it makes for just the prettiest background. Both of these cards have also come in very handy with a couple of very special anniversaries around the corner ;)

To decorate this card, I used some more puffies from the Joyful Day collection, and a pretty tulle bow and button combo.

This time, I used the off-white jewels, as well as a little arrow sticker.

I used the lovely puffy words from the Joyful Day collection, a little button, and some more mini alphas. You'll also notice it looks like there are specks in the scalloped opening - this is again another acetate design.

For my last design, I opted for a shim so that all the itty bits would pop out. I still used the scalloped circle to cut out the middle, and added a heap of puffy stars and jewels to go with the theme  of my card.

I layered up a heap of gold and pink accents, to create some dimension and sparkle.

I love, love, love the beautiful puffies from every Pinkfresh release. There is something so special and sweet about them. Whenever I add them to a project, they instantly elevate the look with just the right amount of dimension and texture. So pretty!

For my last creation, I used some of the newest goodies from the recent Essentials release.

I started with the Braided Tag  to create my bases. I love that this tag size is big enough to act as a card base, or can be used to make larger tags. I combined all the different accent cuts, and I love how pretty they look when backed with white cardstock!

At the top of my tags, I used the Lacey Edgers to add a decorative trim. Just underneath the rose and lace trim, I added a little hex tag, cut with the Basic Label Frames dies, stamped with the Abstract Builder sentiments. Just below the rose, I added a vellum accent, stamped with the Bloom set, heat-embossed in white.

I used the Basic Label Frames to cut the oval insert, and a sentiment die-cut from the Classic Words set. I added a few jewels and crystals, and some Nuvo Drops to finish things off.

These cards were so fun to make!
Thank you so much for visiting and for helping me celebrate my Birthday! :)
