Cards of Gratitude - Pinkfresh Studio

Hi Friends! I'm up on the Pinkfresh Blog today, with a couple of gratitude cards, along with some tips on how to stretch your Pinkfresh dies.

For both of my cards today, I used the stunning Floral Cluster stamp and die set. I heat embossed a few images of the large floral, colouring them in warm hues.  I really wanted the florals to take center stage, so I only added a few other little accents.

I used a pretty ombré paper for my first card, die-cut with the gorgeous Lacey Edgers die at the bottom. I skipped my shim deliberately, to create a plain scalloped edge.

TIP
Use your fancy Pinkfresh edgers dies without a shim to cut simpler designs. An easy way to double up on your investment!

For the centerpiece, I stamped and heat-embossed the gorgeous floral, and colored it up with some Copic hues. I love, love, love these warm, Autumnal shades with a punchy kick! It's such a perfect way to send a cheery, yet cozy greeting of gratitude to a loved one.

I added a banner strip, notched on one end, and stamped with the sentiment. Along with a few little jewels, and some pompom trim to add a tad of texture and sparkle.

For my second card, I used the gorgeous Classic Tags with Fillable Elements dies to cut out the tag, which I then stamped with the floral cluster, and backed onto a patterned base.

For the sentiment tag, I cut a small strip of paper, notched the end, and then used the Simple Edger scallop die to create a fun design.

TIP
Use your simple Pinkfresh edgers dies to make custom tags. Edge two, three, or all of the edges of your square or rectangle-cut cardstock with a scallop or pinked design. Then simply punch a hole at the top, and say hello to your new tags!

Once again, I used the gorgeous Lacey Edgers die to cut the bottom, using a shim only on the upper part of the design, so that only a small portion of the design has peek-through holes. It's super fun playing with these dies and shims to create different looks.

Hope these inspire you to give your dies a new spin.
