Well, it's official. I am absolutely, positively unable to keep my pads inked up! lol
Honest, as soon as I notice, I set the pad aside to ink up, only to forget later! Goodness. Papercrafter problems, I tell you.
Regardless of all the inky mishaps, I made two very lovey-dovey cards for today, and even added touches of black. Gasp!
First up, my floral bouquet card, which features the Oh So Lovely florals, and a sentiment from the Happy Hellos set.
At the bottom, I added a darling polka dot print from the Miss Modern collection.
For my next card, I stamped up some lines onto a Stitched Heart die-cut, and layered it on my base, which was stamped with the Criss Cross background.
A bit of dotty paper goodness, and a scallop from the Scallop Builder set to finish things off.
Both cards are going to some very sweet neighbors who have been so kind to us these past few weeks. Grocery runs, clearing our snow, and just making sure to check in. We've been returning the favor, but it always feels to good to tuck in a card or two to boot!
Speaking of my re-inking troubles, what do you often overlook in your craft space? To empty the scraps bin? Close the cap on adhesive? Unplug the glue gun? Would love to know below!

Looks to me like they are perfectly inky, Ivana! and why haven't I noticed your lack of black? It suits you! Every card a charmer!

Phew! Thanks friend! I’m sure black will be reappearing here again soon ;)
DeleteWhat lovely cards!! I like the pretty bouquet and your touches of black are fantastic.
ReplyDeleteOh, thank you Nora!! Biggest hugs to you sweetie!
DeleteI haven't re-inked my pads yet...how often do you have to do it?
ReplyDeleteI try to do it when they start to stamp faintly, and are no longer juicy. For colors I use often - aka a few times a week - I should be reining every couple of months, but I always forget! lol For other colors that I rarely use, every six or so months works. But it all just depends if your pads are feeling dry. Hope that helps! xo
DeleteHow lovely to live next door to you! Love the cards; just what the doctor ordered to cheer you up and make the world stop for a moment of sheer joy! Good neighbors are hard to come by but we are lucky to have a whole cul–de–sac like you!
ReplyDeleteThey truly are! We a fortunate to have a whole block too! Such a great feeling of community, isn’t it? Thanks so much for your kind note, Mary. Keep healthy and safe! xo
DeleteYour black sentiments pop on our pretty pastel cards! These are pretty Ivana. So is your new blog photo... I just noticed you change it!
ReplyDeleteSuch fabulous makes! I adore how the black sunburst-like shapes on the second card almost look like lovely eyelashes.

This week has been a productive and FUN one in my craft room. With that being said, I made quite a few inky mistakes. (something all inkers share I’m pretty sure!) Thank goodness for my eraser! I just wanted to say how much I love your blog with all the beautiful projects!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful bouquet & I love the criss cross background! More inspiring cards, my friend! Thinking I'm going to have to add some TSM to my stash--soon! I have left the cap off of adhesive, but what upsets me the most is leaving lids askew on ink pads! I don't have many reinkers, so you'd think I'd be more careful. Surprisingly, they have still been usable, but one day I may not be so lucky--haha!
