Rainbows of Colors Two Ways - Wednesdays with Wow!

Good Morning!
It seems that somehow my days got mixed up and my last post went live a little early on the Wow! blog. Nonetheless, I hope you'll still enjoy my guesting farewell post, with two very bright, colorful designs! I've SO enjoyed this time with the beautiful, sparkly powders, and I'm so happy you could join me for the ride!

Today, I have created two cards - one very girly and the other a little more gender neutral. But both bursting with color! Because, why not :) For my first card, I stamped up some abstract florals from TSM, mixing in both inked images and heat-embossed images. I used Unicorn Magic, Vintage Romance, Lime Ricky, and Bahama (from the Caribbean Charm Trio) for the heat-embossing.

After fussy-cutting the images, I layered them up, adding a sentiment stamped and heat-embossed on vellum. I used my favorite color (Platinum) for the embossing.

For my next card, I stamped up some stripes, using the Embossing Pad, and a variety of beautiful colors of powder. I used all of the hues in the Carribean Charm trio, as well as Lime Ricky, Sorbet, Unicorn Magic,  and Vintage Romance.

Atop the stripes, I added some cardstock strips, along with a vellum panel with a heat-embossed sentiment in white.

I added a few stamped leaves, and enamel dots to finish off the card. I love that this design can be used for any gender and for almost any occasion!

Thank you so much for spending August with me, sweet Friends! I've so enjoyed guesting on the Wow! blog and getting to play with these beautiful powders.

  2. YOU are the awesome-est, Ivana! and are my color guru!
btw, I did get that sparkly embossing powder - which heat gun do you use? My Wagner seems to be a bit hot for it, I think.
Two beautiful ways to say farewell, and you were a marvelous guest, my friend!

    1. You are the sweetest! I use the Darice heat tool (it's the blue one) and it seems a bit gentler. It only has one setting, so I wouldn't recommend it for all uses because it tends to be a little slower to heat up. I hope that helps, and I cannot wait to see what you make with the sparkles!! p.s. I also heat from the back-side, which I'm sure you already know about! ;)

  3. Both beautiful, but have to say the stripes are really drawing me in! Did you emboss individual strips of paper? Anyway--I love it! You were an amazing GD for Wow, my friend!
