A Pouch and A Card

~Wedding Congratulations~

Happy Sunday! How was your weekend?

We had a wonderful visit at home with my parents during our quick trip out of the city. Now that we're back home, unpacked, and settled back in, I'm spending a lazy Sunday evening double-tasking; writing this post and making my schedule for the upcoming week.

I really love my little time on Sunday evenings, when I get to sit down and take a few minutes to plan out the week ahead. Do you have a Sunday evening tradition of getting ready for the coming week? Do you like to plan your week out, or take it as it comes?

One of the biggest reasons I love planning out my weeks is because it helps me see pockets of time that I can squeeze crafty time into! This coming week looks especially promising, which has me very, very excited.

But for tonight, I am sharing a little duo I crafted a few days back. A miniature canvas pouch and a window card.

First up, I've got a little linen baggie. I've never been good at needle and thread, but I love finding little treasures like this and taking the time to decorate them.

I used pretty, floral Tea Break paper from Kaisercraft

I stamped the heart using PTI's The Best is Yet to Be stamp set, stamping the heart outline, followed by adding little flowers and leaves inside the heart. I used scissors to cut out the heart, and also to cut a larger heart out of gingham paper. I added a smaller heart (die-cut using PTI's Cover Plate: Hearts, and stamped with Happy Hearts stamp set), and a teensy little clothespin. I used Spring Moss, Ripe Avocado, Melon Berry, and Sweet Blush ink from Papertrey Ink.

On the side of the baggie I added a sweet pink button, and just below the heart, I used The Best is Yet to Be stamp set to stamp the sentiment, before fussy cutting it.

Just under the sentiment, I added an ombre banner with a congrats sentiment. I added a bit of trim, a few more little hearts, and another pink button.

This next card, I whipped up to test out the beautiful WPlus9 stamp sets, Fresh Cut Florals, and Fresh Cut Wreaths. I looove all the pretty flowers and leaves in this set, and the combinations are endless. The size of all the bitty flowers is perfect, too, and the leaves are just a tad smaller than most PTI leaves dies and stamps, so it's a perfect filler set :)

For the top of this card, I lined flowers and buttons with a dash of foliage, followed by a sentiment stamped in Smokey Shadow ink.

I used the Heart Prints dies, to cut the small heart window inside the floral heart wreath.

This is what the card looks like on the inside.

I also added a little heart and congrats on the back of the card to complete this very sweet wedding congrats card.

I always love making wedding cards just a bit more special by adding designs on the back or inside the card, or through a co-coordinating envelope. I find that these are the kinds of cards that are most likely to remain as keepsakes for years to come, and adding special touches seems so appropriate.

Speaking of which, one of my to-do's this week is to sort and organize all of our beautiful wedding cards. I can't wait to take the trip down memory lane!

Wishing you all a lovely week,

xo
