Easter Hugs - Pinkfresh Studio + Papertrey Ink | Using Up Scraps

Hello Friends and happy day to your all!
Are you starting to make Easter cards yet? I know it's a little early, but I kicked off my eggy cards a little while ago, and haven't been able to put away my supplies quite yet. I figure, might as well go with it, while the inspiration is here, right? Today's card wasn't really planned, but rather it was a way to use up a heap of scraps that had accumulated. It's always nice when they can be put to good use :)

I started out by piling up all the little leftovers I had, such as the little words, butterflies, and extra Embroidered Blossom florals from some previous cards. I thought this gorgeous blue paper was perfect for tying it all together, so I used it as my base.

I really didn't do all that much with this card, just adhere all the bits together. But I did add the bunny. I thought his little face was just the perfect way to make this card really Easter-y!

To make him, I heat embossed the little design on vellum, then used my Wonder Stix to color him on the backside. You can tell I was in a hurry because he's a little splotchy, but I still think he's cute!

This card also has a lot of dimension with the butterflies being adhered only on the folds. I love this way of adding dimension, because it makes  the card still perfectly mail-able!

Really nice to use up some of these fussy cut butterflies! I really ought to get back to fussy cutting form time to time. So many pretty papers await.

Hope you enjoyed today's quick card and that it brought a smile to your face!
Thank you so much for joining me today.
