Hello and happy day!
A quick post for today - sharing an easy last-minute gift card wrap.
Some birthdays I prep for all year, while others sneak up on me...Naturally, gift cards provide a big sigh of relief in these instances! And perhaps because I find them less personal than thoughtfully purchasing a gift, I like to make them a little bit special by wrapping them up in something handmade. Enter my easy giftcard wrap! Or tuck, or pocket...Whatever you call it, it does the trick ;)
I like to include a little space to write a heartfelt note in my gift card tucks, and this one is made from the beautiful Braided Ovals dies, stamped with itty bitty dots in various colors, adorned with a mini wreath from the Leafy Wreath set. I topped the wreath with a really beautiful sequin flower (which was cut from a long strand of flowers) that I purchased during our glorious visit to the MJ Trimmings store in NYC. I still have a few of the extravagant trims on hand, as I use them sparingly. It felt like just the right touch to make this tuck feel that little bit extra special.
To decorate the rest of the holder, I used PTI Heart Prints dies to cut out a heart, which I stamped with Altenew's Ditsy Print. I love this print sooo much! It's been showing up in a lot of my projects and I can't seem to get enough. I also scalloped the top using the Scalloped Border die.
For a little extra dimension, I added a paper rose along with some tulle, and the beautiful TSM sentiment from the Hip Hip Hooray set. But my favorite little touch? That itty bitty 'xoxo' washi! I know you've seen it here before...but isn't it so stinking cute!?
Thanks so much for stopping in, Friends. See you back here soon!
