~Life is a Carnival~

Ever have one of those days??? Despite how organized and determined you are...Somehow the time just sort of 'slips' by and you accomplish absolutely nothing?
Lately, I've been having more of those days than usual...
Today is particularily bad.
I just looked at the clock and realized that it's half past three and I'm still in my pj's!

Say what?!

Yes...I know...It's awful! But in my defense, I got so wrapped up in cleaning this morning, then I sat down for some crafting and catching up with my new stamps...A quick 'check the email' date with my puter turned into two hours....And in the midst of it all, I completely lost track of time...

O well... I suppose life goes on.

So I'm back again for a quick post to show you another little project I created using the Craft's Meow Life is a Carnival stamp set...The title is strangely appropriate for my day thus far...

Don't you just love these images? This stamp set has so many possibilities...I adore the vintage carnival theme and love that it can easily be used in everyday cards and layouts, too...

If you're wondering what type of project this is...I honestly could not tell you.
It started out as a card...Then turned into an altered Prima package ATC...And then into something I'm hoping to add to this shabby-licious frame I scored recently...
Maybe it will go up in my scraproom...As a lil reminder to enjoy life, despite how crazy it can get...

The sentiment, merry-go-round and prize ribbon are all from the Life is a Carnival set. I added in a teensy little, yellow Webster's Pages bloomer  and a yellow Prima cabachon flower...Both swiped with a generous coating of paint....

I took one of my handmade buttons (Dara Lynn - I'm so glad they got to you safely! I hope you'll send me some pics of how you use them...I'd love to see!) and framed it with a scalloped paper and some liquid pearls....

I used another handmade button to top off the ribbon and paper string bows....

And I tied some lovely My Mind's Eye twine around the whole project...Have you used this stuff?! It's incredible
It's thicker than typical baker's twine and the colors are soooo yummy

Here's a close-up of the ticket stubs (also from the stamp set)...They are sort of hard to see in the pictures...But look great irl...Love the cute little sayings on them too :)

Hmmm....Still thinking what to do with this project...Any suggestions?
Off to 'officially' start my day :)

  8. Hey Ivana. So sorry I have been MIA. You have been up to so many wonderful crative things. I am totally in awe (again!!) Kudos on the expert scissor and punch work. I do love the vintage feel of this image. I am always amazed at what people can fit onto an ATC. This is just magical. ooxx
