Thank You - Stretch your Dies | Spellbinders September Kits Blog Hop

Hello Friends! 
It’s that time of the month when we celebrate all of the amazing Spellbinders releases with a hop, and I am back with another diamond wreath using the Small Die of the Month kit. This one may be my favorite of all! You can read all about how I put this card together below, or simply scroll to the bottom for the chance to win a fabulous prize! This little card really takes advantage of the SDOM kit versatility, in which I used the center diamond (the left-over bit after die-cutting the fancy border), to mask out a white center to the card. I added warm, Autumn hues to the base, with my ink blending brushes. I then went a little wild with spatters :)


Peeling back the mask, leaves the perfect little space to adhere the foliage border. If you find that you struggle with perfectly aligning thin dies like this, masking as a first step is a great way to ensure your positioning goes smoothly. 


I used the word dies in the kit to cut out the sentiment, and the floral blooms are all from TSM's Mother's Day Blooms and Bunches of Love. 


I don't know about you, but all this texture makes my heart smile :)

    Such a beautiful card! I love the color and splatters of the background. The frame is so pretty, and the flowers you added so lovely!I've never purchased a kit, but have lots of stamps, dies,papers, stickers,etc. It always takes me a while to get everything together, so I can really see how the kits would stream line this part of card making.

    SPECTACULAR background and the splatters just add that extra pizzazz! Not to diminish the lovely pops of blue or the florals. All make a wonderful and eye-pleasing combo. Also adored this cards predecessor with the pumpkins, so cute.
