Hello Friends and welcome to another Pinkfresh release!
If you're hopping with us, you should be arriving from the wonderful Jessica. If you've lost your way or you're just joining us, here is a quick list of the hop order.
Today, we are featuring something special, in addition to some gorgeous stamps and dies...Large-format coordinating washi tapes!
Not only are these washi tapes perfect for card background covers, but they can also be cut with the co-ordinating dies (which also work with the beautiful stamps). Today, I'm sharing both :)
First up, the stamped version. Here I used the gorgeous Floral Elements stamp set to watercolor a floral wreath.
I loooove watercolors, but I can't say that I'm exactly an expert, so it's nice to be able to dabble and play, without worrying too much about it being perfect. The loose style of the florals works really well with this style of coloring.
I finished off my card by embossing a dark blue sentiment from the Floral Cluster set, some pretty jewels, and I also added a few paint splatters.
I added a ribbon, and a super sparkly, vintage button, that I rescued from a sweater my grams made for me when I was a wee girl. I love adding sentimental touches like this from time to time.
Next up, the washi version. If you're short on time, this is a super quick way to achieve a watercolored card. I simply backed some cardstock with the gorgeous Painted Florals washi tape, and used the coordianting die to cut out the wreath.
For the background, I added some paint smooshing to my cardstock, and used the beautiful Folklore die to cut a gorgeous design. I then backed everything up with some of the washi tape, and this is where my bonus tip comes in ;)

TIP
If you need a large-format adhesive for backing intricate designs, simply use the washi tape! I know it's hard to justify 'wasting' such gorgeous designs...But you don't have to! For this card, I simply backed everything up with the washi tape (so that way my intricate cut pieces would stay in place), but I decided not to add any other backing. So when my card opens, you see the stunning, coordinating design on the inside!

I finished this little card off with a heat-embossed sentiment using the Eucalyptus Fantasy stamp set, some watercolored ribbon, string, jewels, and a vintage button.
For my last card of the day, I used a couple of the designs in the set to create an oh-so-floral design.
All of the florals were heat-embossed and then colored in with Copics. No fancy coloring here, just a lot of lively hues.
I adore this gorgeous wreath!
For the sentiment, I combined some of the mix-n-match sentiments, heat embossing the larger word.
For the background, I inked up some pink hues, and I also added a simple scalloped border at the bottom, along with a more intricate one from a previous release.
I just adore all these florals and I hope they bring you some smiles.
Now let's move onto something else to smile about...the hop details!
