Such a pleasure to play with some stunning new goodies...I can't wait to share what I've made!
I absolutely loved some of the design vibes of this release - particularly the summery florals.
Surprise, surprise ;)
Surprise, surprise ;)
For my first card, I used the Zig Zag Floral stamp set for the blooms, only stamping the base layers. Each floral in the set has a criss-cross layer to add as a stitched accent over the design. I was going for a clean and simple look, so I omitted this layer.
Just below the florals, I added in a leafy stamp in black, from the Envelope Art stamp set, as well as one of the pretty banners in the set, heat-embossed on acetate. I also added a heaping of the new Antique Gold sequins - this is such a gorgeous gold! Not too yellow, not too orange - just right with a beautiful shine.
For my next card, I wanted the design to be cheery, colorful and bursting with florals! To start, I used one of my favorite alpha sets - Caps Bold - to diecut the word 'mom'. I then stamped random florals and leaves from the Zig Zag Floral set.
I did a tiny bit of masking here and there, and used the stamp-off technique. I removed the fonts, and added a few die-cut florals behind the base so they would look like they are poking out of the sentiment. I added an acetate to the negative cuts, and popped up the card so I could make a shimmery shaker. I filled the shaker with the Satin White sequins and some glitter.
I finished things off with a sentiment from the Envelope Art set.
For the last card, and perhaps my favorite, I did a bit of molding paste stenciling. I started by stamping the Envelope Art ribbon motif, and then I mixed up some hues of paste, and used the Sweet Spring Stencil to fill in all the pretty floral accents. This stencil has a two-step design, and as you can see, I added the top layer in white. Swooning over how gorgeous this stencil is!!
To finish, I added a little sentiment using my stamped letters. So much fun playing with these goodies! You can see more fabulous inspiration here
