Easter Blessings - Pinkfresh Studio | Delicate Series

Not only is this my first ever black card, but it's a black Easter card! Crazy, I know.
But hear me out :) This entire card started out with a little egg that I had leftover from a previous project. It was heat-embossed on some acetate, which I backed with some luscious, chunky glitter.  It reminded me of the ultra-luxurious jeweled eggs of the Russian dynasty so I thought what better than to just go for the Faberge Egg look...All the way!

To start my card, I speckled some black cardstock with a bit of white paint. I then used my Pinkfresh Studio Spring Floral die, to die-cut the folksy florals. I kept the internal bits intact, and separated out some flowers from the framed design. I stamped a sweet floral heart design onto some kraft paper, using my favorite new little stamp addition. I told you you'd be seeing this heart a lot ;)

I stamped and heat-embossed the sentiment using some older The Craft's Meow stamps. The outlined words are so fun for adding some pencil coloring. Here, I colored in with a blush hue, but it sure looks like kraft against the black, which works perfectly.

And lastly, I added the sparkly, ultra decadent egg, along with some more floral bits from the pretty Pinkfresh die-cut. I just love how it looks like it's sitting on a pedestal!

I hope my moody and bold card was not too much of a departure for this classically colorful occasion. Thanks so much for joining me today :)
