Hola Amigos!
I've been dreaming of my favorite party tradition - the Pinata - and turning it into a card :)
I knew I wanted it to be bright, bold, frilly and filled with confetti.
To start my card, I used a striped, colorful print, but these stripes would be super easy to make if you don't have this pattern on hand. Layered cardstock or stamped stripes would do just fine!
Next up, I covered my base with a fine mesh fabric. I cut it just a tad larger than my card base, and adhered the edges on the back using some super tacky adhesive strips. Before gluing everything down, I filled the mesh with handmade confetti (cut using fringing shears), sequins, and other bits and bobs. This mesh-fetti idea was actually inspired by the super lovely and talented @natalieelph. If you have a minute, head over to check out her feed!

For my centerpiece, I layered up a heap of little accents, starting with a pink doily, followed by some intricate cuts. I used the beautiful Geo Floral die to cut two circles into intricate designs.I blended some ink onto one, and left one white. Atop that, I added a sentiment using the Classic Words dies, as well as a cute puffy sticker.
To finish off my card, I added some buttons, a bow, and a beautiful Lacey Edger.
I am in love how this card turned out! It's definitely not mail-able, but I have a feeling it will make a dearly beloved Birthday kiddo smile..Even if it's not filled with candy or as exciting as the original thing, it's strangely fun to play with, watching those little pieces dance about with each move!
