Fall Greetings - Altenew + Papertrey Ink | Two Takes

I hope you are having a lovely Autumn Day, lovelies!
I'm so glad you could pop in for a little visit.

I've got a very cozy duo lined up for you today, full of rich, luxurious hues, and heaps upon heaps of Autumn florals. It's been fun pulling out old favorites and giving them a seasonal twist.

For my first card today, I kept things rather CAS, with a white background and a few little accents.
I used my Caps Bold alphas to cut out my sentiment, stamping it with the gorgeous Peony Bouquet stamps, in deep shades. I used a light kraft envelope for my stamping base, which only made the colors deepen in hue...love!

At the top of the card, I added a scallop accent, and stamped a greeting just below my large letters.

For the pumpkin cluster at the bottom, I used an older stamp set, but I've linked one up below that would look just as darling! I also added in an accent from the Pedal Pusher stamp set, which is meant to be a bicycle basket, but it works here, doesn't it? I really love the overflowing florals, it reminds me of all the spectacular Virginia Creeper that's everywhere this time of year...In all it's majestic red glory!

Next up, I did a little Autumn/Holiday mash up! Because why not!
This little card has all sorts of accents on it, from the pumpkins and fall florals, to the basket full of holly and presents.

I started things off with the same stamped pattern as above to color up my base.
Then I stamped and die cut the little bicycle, adding all the tiny accents into the basket.

I stamped a sentiment onto a banner strip, and added pumpkins and vellum leaves to complete the scene.

I think this might just be one of my most favorite cards...If only for the reason that it brings to mind festive, jolly days :)

  1. I adore both... all full of Fall flourishes! but that bicycle has been on my wish-list forever - and, oh, I nearly missed the puppy in the basket!
Gorgeous times two - million, Ivana!
