Sending You a Little Sunshine - Papertrey Ink + The Stamp Market | Paper Piecing

Hello Friends, thanks for popping in today!
I hope your weekend has been good so far! If not, I sure hope this little number will put a smile on your face :)

Besides stamping, paper-piecing is perhaps one of my most favorite techniques. I adore how a patchwork of pretty patterns look when all combined together! And probably because I adore quilts, but I am not a quilter, it satisfies a small part of my heart that would happily mix and match scraps for eternity.

Today's card is just that, a patchwork of patterns and stamped accents, adorned with some sweet details.

To start my card today, I cut a kraft envelope in half, scalloping the edge with the Scalloped Border die, along with a white trim accent.

To accent my base, I started with a white cardstock, where I stamped an off-center circle, followed by rays, using an older PTI set. But any type of long triangles would do here - stamp or otherwise.
I've linked up a few dies that would make great stencils, below ;)
I made sure to stamp the rays a little further apart, so that I could squeeze in some patterned paper, too. I used a variety of prints, cutting them freehand, into long triangles, and then trimmed them to size after adhering them down.

To finish things off, I stamped a sweet little sentiment, and added a heat-embossed and fussy cut accent word, and a very sweet clay heart.

Sending much sunshine and happiness to you all!
