A Few Takes on Florals - Pinkfresh Studio

Hello Friends! I am so happy to be sharing these sunny cards over on the Pinkfresh Studio blog today! Each card today features a different take on some florals - from wreath-y to watercolored, to my attempt at a more masculine/gender neutral style, if that's even a thing!

Above all, they are heaping with florals and happy hues, just what we need this time of year :)

To start my first card, I stamped the Full Bloom background onto my card base with no-line ink, but you could use any light colored dye ink.

I used my Pinkfresh ink pads to dab different hues onto my coloring mat, and colored up the image with my waterbrush. I used a fine tip black pen to add some outlines to the foliage, and also heat-embossed some of the floral accents in white.

I used the Essentials: Classic Words die set for the sentiment, along with the rest of the phrase from the Full Bloom set.

For my next card, I started by ink blending the outer edges of my card base, leaving the center white. I used the Curvy Floral Vine set to accent this white space. At the top and bottom of the card, I added a snippet of the Foliage Frame diecut.

I used the Sentiment Suite: Hello die in the center of the card, and finished off the wreath with two buds from the Layered Bouquet set.

For my last card, I wanted to use one of my favorite new background stamps, the Diamond Tile plaid. This is such a versatile + beautiful set and it stamps like a dream. Crisp, and perfect for embossing. I stamped this only once - and look at how perfect the impression is!

After stamping, I decided to do a little resist blending, and attempt to make a more gender neutral card. I associate plaids with more masculine designs, but honestly, I know of SO many gents who love the florals just as much as I do. And the vibrant, 'girly' hues. My dad being one :) Nonetheless, I hope it gives a different take on a beautiful floral - the Just Because set.

I finished things off with a fussy-cut sentiment, and some liquid drops.

It's been such a joy crafting with all these Spring-ish supplies last few weeks, while we hunker down and wait out winter. What are your go-to remedies for making these cold, dark days pass a little quicker?
