Burst of Citrus - Pinkfresh Studio

Hello sweet Friends!
I am SO excited to share this card with you. It went on quite the journey, so it kind of feels like an accomplishment that I finally get to share.

It all started with this STUNNING stamp design.
So I decided on a no-line method and heaps of inkpads for coloring, but quickly realized it looked far too washed out without a sharp outline. I panicked and stamped the design once more, in a black outline. And then I felt the sweat come over! We've all been there, right? The moment you feel like you ruined hours of work? Ugh, total heartbreak. After the second stamp, the black lines covered ALL of the yummy oranges and the stripey coloring. Still a super cool look, but not what I was after.

I had no idea what to do. Since I had spent a fair bit of time coloring this print and didn't want to toss it, I knew I had to remove the orange centers somehow. Come in trusty dies! I used a scalloped die to cut out the orange centers, re-stamped them on a another card base, and colored them up again. Finally! Outline, and a bit of contrast for the florals, while showing the orange centers.

So happy to finally share this one with you - and to have learned this little trick.
Sometimes I feel like crafting requires serious thinking on your feet...lol!
