Thinking of You - Stretch Your Dies | The Stamp Market

Heloooo sweet Friends!
Anyone up for some rainbow therapy?!

My card today is such a fun way to add a little rainbow to an otherwise clean and simple design. Plus, I'm sharing two ways to stretch your dies - both with background strips and with teeny confetti.

With just a few strips of cardstock, I diagonally arranged them into a pretty pattern, leaving some white spaces in between each strip (you can use a strip as a spacer, then remove it ;)

TIP
By leaving white spaces between the colorful strips, you actually use less strips, which not only saves time, but also saves the excess strips for another project! Neat, huh?

To squeeze even more fun out of this striped background, I used the Stitched Shaker Window dies to cut out a frame, and put the leftovers to use as my base. I added a white piece of cardstock over-top, and then placed my frame in the center. This doubled-up look is so fun!
The best part? You will sill have a center piece left over, which can be put to use in another card.
To finish things off, I stamped up some Simple Sentiments, and a cute little envelope.

TIP
The teensy tiny hearts are from the Confetti Heart Maker dies. Every so often, I cut a heap of these little hearts (it's super easy with a die like this, because one pass will yield lots of little hearts). But here's my golden tip: I always, ALWAYS cut them in white cardstock. Then, when I need them for a project, I use a solid stamp (any shape will do so long as it covers the hearts), and I stamp them up in any color I desire! Such a huge time saver for me, and it means I always have perfectly-matched little accents on hand. I like that very much :)

  3. Love this upbeat, fabulously pretty card so much, dear Ivana. Those fonts are absolutely charming, marrying elegance and fun to a tee (which definitely describes this make as whole, too).
