Wishing You Joy

Oh, hello there. Today, I have a little trio to share! For some reason or another, Christmas crafting always brings out the tag lover in me, and whenever I've created a card, I will often sneak in a tag or two to boot. One can never have too many tags come Holiday time :)

First up, my little card is a mash up of some watercoloring, stripy colorful cardstock fun, and a touch of stamping.

I started off with a white base, stamped up with Festive Floral greenery, which I fussy cut. I then dipped my brush into some Color Crush hues, and added a splash of festive fun to the Blooms and Berries image. Just a soft wash of color really brings this beauty to life!

I did a touch of fussy cutting before adhering the blooms to the base, and added a button at the top.

For my sentiment, I used the Joy die. Starting with the base layer, I adhered some colorful strips (I used matching Color Crush hues - linked below) before cutting. I then cut the base layer in white, layering it overtop the stripes. The finishing sentiment is from the Joy stamp set - a definite favorite!

For my two tags, I used a combination of all the above ingredients.

Anyone else purposefully cut a little more than needed when making cards? Just so that a few pretties *happen* to be around when it's time to make tags? :)

For my first tag, I cut a little window using two PFS die sets - Inverted Stitched Scallop and one of the fun insert dies from the Classic Tags with Fillable Elements set.

I lined the opening with acetate, and adhered a little heart and a tiny die-cut floral using the Leaflet dies.

For the second tag, I played around with more of the fillable elements, along with the Teardrop tag shape.

I added some leftover striped paper, buttons, as well as a few leaves from the Holiday Greenery dies to both of the tags.

This was such a fun trio to make!

  1. Your tags are darling, Ivana... but it's that stripe-y JOY that brings me the most joy today! So beautiful, AND clever, my friend!
