This time of year, I always get a little sentimental...Celebrating my best friend, love of my life and the kindest man I've ever had the joy of knowing. 

Today's card is just for you, love. You inspire me so much.

I started today's card of with a little heart-shaped base. I actually created the template by folding a piece of paper in half, and cutting a half-heart, and then stenciling it onto my yellow base. It's not as perfect as a die-cut would be, but I love that this is a super easy and quick way to make a size that fits the card design. Do you ever find yourself improvising in the craft room?

For a  little more texture, I also cut a smaller heart out of vellum, and stamped it with the Ditsy Floral print from Altenew, embossing it in white. I used some crayons - Wonder Stix and Neocolor Crayons - to color up the florals loosely.

To the top of the card, I added a large Handpicked Bouquet floral, and popped up a couple of the florals with 3-d foam dots.

For the sentiment, I used a cute little PTI set, called Words to Live By: Caring, along with a few stripes from the Striped stamp set.

It's always a delight to create for ones near and dear to our hearts, isn't it?
