Maja Design Giveaway and October Mood Board

~A Little bit of Autumn~

I can't believe it's October. We are probably basking in the hot Southern sun as you read this. But it doesn't mean that Christmas is not on my mind. After all, it is only a few months away.
I've been eager to tuck away my summery palette for another season, and replace it with shades of aubergine, cranberry, frost and cinnamon...The changing colors and falling leaves are a sure fire sign that summer is officially over, and this couldn't be happier news to me, as it is officially time to embark upon holiday crafting.

My was inspired by the colors is this month's Maja Design Mood Board. I really hope you will have a chance to play along and use these pretty colors in a project of your own. And the best part is, playing along could mean that you win an entire Maja collection of your choice! All the details of how to enter can be found on the Maja blog.

Here is my take on the colors in this palette :)

I used the stunning new Vintage Autumn Basics collection to create this trio.

For the card, I used prints: No. I, II, and III.
I layered the pretty floral print and the soft pattern for the base of the card, and use the beautiful crimson hounds-tooth pattern to die-cut the little embellishment. I used the Love Lives Here die collection as well as the 1 3/4 Limitless Layers Circles from PTI for the die-cuts.

I stamped a sentiment using the Think Big Favorites #18 stamp set from PTI, in Scarlet Jewel Ink

To the top of the card, I added a vintage silk ribbon, and a soft pink button.

I used liquid pearls and purple pearl adhesives to add a couple of finishing touches to the card.

I decided to make two matching glassine baggies as well, and used a few of the same ingredients. I had a little hounds-tooth heart left over from my diecut, so I created another scalloped circle die-cut and stamped the same circle border from the Tag It's #1 stamp set.

Inside, I tucked in a little note card, with more of the same printed paper, and a little die-cut doily using the Doily Details die from PTI.

For the second baggie, I used the rest of the little doily on the bottom half of the baggie, and hand-cut one of the beautiful florals from the No. II print. Oh I so wish I could show you just how lovely these papers are in person. The pictures just don't do it justice.

I stamped and cut out the same sentiment, and added a few sparkly hearts and purple pearls.

And....The best part about today's post is that you could win this entire collection!
