It's been a dreary couple of days, and it looks like the rain is here to stay. I am very hopeful that sunny days will return soon, but I must admit, every once in a while, I enjoy a rainy day...Rainy days remind me to slow down, cozy up and enjoy the comforts of home. Tuck away the yard work, start a crackling fire, and settle in with a hot cuppa - and maybe even sneak in a little nap :)
As much as I wanted to catch up on some zzz's today, I did something else equally as enjoyable and I am here to share it with you. Here are the bits I whipped up to brighten this gray day.
Inspired by the rainy showers outside, I made this bridal shower/engagement card and gift card pocket using beautiful Kaiser Craft papers, and WPlus9 stamps.
At the top of the card, I added a silky Prima bloom, along with some stamped leaves in Ocean Tides ink, using the WPlus9 Fresh Cut Florals stamps and dies.
I used the same set to stamp the pretty flower and leaves just above the sentiment banner, adding in Sweet Blush and Lavender Moon ink.
For the banner, I used Papertrey Ink In Stitches dies, and stamped both of the sentiments using stamps from WPlus9's Fresh Cut Wreaths.
I added a few stringed crystals to add a bit of dimension to the card.
I made this coordinating pocket using the Papertrey Ink Seed Packet Die. I used the Fresh Cut Florals stamp set to stamp the floral design, and Fresh Cut Wreaths to stamp the sentiment.
This pocket is just the right size for sweet little gift for the bride-to-be, as she anticipates her big day. And it will hopefully fill her day with sunshine, regardless of the weather outside!
Thanks so much for stopping by today :)
