It's Happening!

Hello Friends!
I knew this day would come eventually...And I am so glad to be back.
It has been a while since I've stopped in last. Life has had our hands and hearts very, very full for the past couple of years. I sincerely want to thank you for your understanding and I am so very thankful for all of your messages, well-wishes and kind thoughts.

I hope you have all been keeping well - creating, loving life, and enjoying every moment.

I am determined do to better at staying in touch, and in due time, I'm certain that I'll return to crafting, blogging and etsy-ing in full force, but for now,
I would simply like to share with you a little creation just in time for Easter.

I recently picked up a set a of Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers...
Ummm...They are ah-mazing!
They're such a dream to use - super blend-able and conducive to oodles of techniques because of the real brush tips that are near to impossible to stain, tear, or fray (ahem, a huge bonus for someone like me to who tends to destroy marker nibs on the regular). I love the super-pigmented, vibrant colors that fade to beautiful soft shades with water. They can be used to stamp with, color with, and so, so much more. I'm thinking about doing a video showcasing these beauties and how I use them...Lemme know if you'd like to see something like that in the future.
First day back to blogging and I'm already making promises ;)

So back to the tag.
I used big sweep of water for the background and a variation of colors to
achieve the pretty watercolor effect.
For the carrots, I used the markers directly on the stamp, using a combination of green & orange. For this particular stamp, this technique is great because it allows individual coloring. So fun!
After stamping the image, I used my waterbrush to blend the image a bit, but you can also leave it as is so it has more a vintage look.

I added a little flower, some string and a bow at the top.
The sentiment is from PTI's Sweet Spring stamp set, embossed in white on vellum + fussy cut, of course.

Wouldn't something like this look adorable for Easter place cards?! I may just make a handful to sprinkle on our table. It sort of coordinates, don't you think?

Please drop me a line if you're still following - I've missed you so!

Ivana
