Enjoy This Moment - Pinkfresh Studio | Delicate Series

Hi y'all! How are you doing today? Heaps of thanks for tuning in.
I have a quick little post to share with you, featuring the gorgeous, new Beautiful Blooms dies from Pinkfresh Studio. I've long admired all the beautiful cut work that some of my favorite artists use with the in-laid paper piecing technique, but not having a digital cutter, I was often just admiring from afar. I adore that some of the new products Pinkfresh has been releasing gives us 'manual cutters' a chance to enjoy ;)

I used a combination of cuts for my card today. I first used the gorgeous bloom to cut my design out of the card front. I then used various colors of cardstock to cut all the bitty pieces, which inlaid into the pretty rose. This month, our Pinkfresh guest designer, Vicky, shared a super informative video on how to make inlaid paper piecing a whole lot easier and I highly recommend checking this video out, if you plan to try this technique :)

I added another white outline after I was done adding all the colored bits, but this time I decided to only stick down the center, so that the ends would have a wispy and flowy look. All around the roses, I added some of the new little gems that are going to be a part of the next release, on April 20th.
At the bottom of the card, I used the You've Got This sentiment set, and I just love this font so much! Caly, thank you for designing pretty things for us to play with.  I would like an entire collection of sentiments just in this font, pretty please! ;)

This little card is headed for a very special birthday, and since May is such a busy month for us, with Mother's Day and both Momma's celebrating birthdays, I will be back soon to share more of what I've been making.

  4. I love the technique, even though it is a bit time consuming. Probably why I usually choose smaller dies when I do it. PF is making such beautiful products--hope to add some eventually to my stash. Your card is so fresh & gorgeous, Ivana! Lucky moms in your family!
