Sending Love - Pinkfresh Studio

Hello, hello and happy Friday!
Today's duo is inspired by the not-quite-Summer-and-not-quite-Autumn scenery out my window.
While the Summer heat has subsided, and we are on the tail end of our growing season, plenty of surprises still abound. Deeper shades of Autumn are setting in...Hardy florals, and warm, cozy textures of golden wheat fields make for some beautiful scenery this time of year. It's still a little early for turning leaves, but many are just on the cusp.

It's a perfect chance to mix in bold and bright tones with the muted and earthy greens and yellows, while using my favorites from the recent Pinkfresh Studio release...

There were far too many pretty stamps and dies I didn't get around to using, so I wanted to share them with you!

For my first card, I started with a stamped base using the Stitch In Time stamps, alternating shades of blue ink. For the kraft accent strip, I used a polka dot stencil along with some embossing paste for a tad of texture.

For the gorgeous florals, I used the beautiful and versatile Lovely Blossoms stamp and dies, and for the vase, PTI's Friendship Jar.

For the sentiments, I used the Floral Vase stamp and die set, as well as the Classic Words dies.

The bow is also from the Floral Vase stamp set and I love it dearly! I can see this bow used in so many ways....Especially come Christmas card making time.

For my next card, I wanted to keep things a little more CAS, so I decided to use fewer florals for a more scattered bouquet, and keep the rest of the elements white. The background is a freehand watercolor wash, done with a large flat brush, to achieve the uniform strokes.

The alphas from this release are one of my favorite PF releases to date...They are so folksy and feminine, and that little cursive curve adds such a whimsical touch! I stacked them up here for a little bit of dimension, but kept them white and simple.

I used the vase from the Floral Vase stamp and die sets here, which features a three-step stamp creating all the lovely shading.
I have heaps more coming with this pretty set, so stay tuned!

  4. Love them both, and adore that sweetest little bow! However, it is your free-hand stripe-y gorgeousness that has stolen my heart today, Ivana - must remember this! xx
