Thanks - No-Mess Sparkle | The Stamp Market

Sparkle is everywhere during the Holidays! It's one time of year I simply can't get enough.
The rest of the year, I'm a little less keen on finding and cleaning iridescent bits through the house ;)
But, in recent years, I'm happy to report things have been changing around here.
Since I've started using different techniques for adhering my glitter - mainly by finishing things off with a top coat - I find myself adding sparkle to things well outside the Holiday season.
Yay for sparkle every day!

Today's card is a Valentine/Thank You mash up...Which was perfect for a giant glittery base!
I made two of the same design - one with a topcoat finish and one without and obvi, what a difference it makes! Though I will say, using a super strong adhesive to adhere the glitter can go a long way in holding things in place sans top-coat.
The adhesive I reach for most frequently are these double sided sheets.

For the background of my card, I started things off with Fine Lines background embossed in gold, and added accent diamonds, stamped with the Floral Diamond set.
Atop that, I layered my chunky, glittery circle - I will put up a quick vid of it on insta because it looks so much prettier irl! And to finish things off, I added my large sentiments - using the Lots of Thanks stamp set and Something Extra alphas.

It's so fun to add a little snazz to a card once in a while! Thanks for popping in!

  1. Hi Ivana! I was smiling all through your little “sparkle” story and boy, can I relate! I put 3 or 4 matte finish top coats on my glittery snow drifts and only the edges had glitter. ! So I can totally relate! Your card is so pretty, I love your color and layout design! I’m giving the double sided adhesive a try, thanks for the tip! 😊

    1. LOL! If only glitter had a self-clean option included! I hope the double sided tape helps - but I will say, it does shed a little! If you're in a no-glitter-falling-at-all mood, I'd still stick with the coating! When I use the double sided method - I use less glitter and make sure to press it in very firmly and then dust the excess off with a brush. Works pretty well and I see minimal fall off. Hope that helps! Thanks so much for visiting, Stephanie! xo

  3. The fine lines background is so neat & I love your uniquely beautiful card, Ivana! I've never brushed a top coat over glitter as I thought the brush would pick up the glitter. May try it as I do love putting glitter on cards.
