Paper Piecing - Delicate Series | Pinkresh Studio

Hello and welcome back to another post in my Delicate Series - where I get frilly and fancy, and girl-out in every way imaginable!

These gorgeous pretties have been calling my name. They also happen to be perfect for a paper-piecing technique.

Before running my die through, I did a little bit of ink blending in some of my favorite Pinkfresh hues: Sunshine, Clementine, Coral Reef, Olive and Key Lime. I've linked them all up below. From there on, I cut one piece out of white cardstock, which I used for the outline, and then the second piece out of the ink-blended cardstock. I attempted to apply my ink strategically, so that the florals would be pink and orange, while the leaves yellow and green...Not sure if it worked entirely lol
There are bits of ink-blendy goodness overlapping the colors, but I kind of like it!

Atop that, I added a heat-embossed sentiment on vellum, using the new Whole Lot of Awesome set. I have thoroughly loved on this set already, but I just can't seem to get enough!

As a finishing touch, I added sequins around the floral.

This card was super fun and super easy to make, considering how lengthy paper-piecing can be when working from scratch. Gotta love beautiful dies that give us all the shortcuts!
