Shabby Chic Holiday Card - Stretch Your Supplies | The Stamp Market

Hi Friends, another shabby creation is in store today!

It started out as a simple stenciled base, which I adorned with some of my favorites from the newest TSM Christmas release. Have you had a chance to play with any of it yet? Goodness, it is so so so beautiful!

Here, I've added some Tis the Season greetings, and a pretty gold embossed spray from the Holly Jolly set. The other bits are oldies from my stash, dressed up with a bit of paint spatter, and some shimmery sequins.

I also LOVE the idea of using glittery paper as my backing. I cut out the middle, so all of it doesn't go to waste...No one will be the wiser and I can use the glittery extras for die-cutting :)

I've further stretched my supplies here a tad by adding in some leftover bits - like the heat-embossed kraft tag on the lower left corner. I find shabby designs especially forgiving when it comes to piling on odds and ends.

How do you stretch your supplies? Any tricks or tips?

Thanks for stopping in today!

  1. Delightfully lovely design. The sparkly background layer instantly catches the eye and makes me think of the beloved holiday season twinkle given off by Christmas lights.
