Stenciled Floral Christmas - The Greetery + The Stamp Market

I've been dying to use this gorgeous stencil from The Greetery...Didn't quite imagine it would take this long to get to it, but I am so glad I finally did! It works beautifully for festive cards, especially when paired with sparkles, evergreens, and seasonal words.

Here, I've made two takes, both using the same supplies.

For the first, I covered the entire background, and I've added a touch of greenery to accent the colors, with a little added dimension.

Just below the greenery, I added a barely-there sentiment, die-cut in white, along with a finishing sentiment in a bold red.

I love that, from afar, it blends into the background, but from up close, you can see all the texture and dimension - it's like a little Christmas surprise :)

For my next card, I used the background as my central panel and outlined the sides with gorgeous pine diecuts.

For the Joy sentiment, I created a faux shaker. While it doesn't shimmy and shake, it certainly has the appearance of one ;)

To make it, I added my cardstock outline to an acetate base, and flooded it with glittery Stickles, but you could also use Glossy Accents. I then added sprinkles and glitter, but you could use sequins or whatever other bits you have on hand. It works like a charm to hold everything in place, and looks just as shimmery and sparkly as a shaker would.

Since I had heaps of glittery goodness laying around after making the shakers, I also added some to the pine sprigs, along with spritzes of paint.

I can positively say these two cards were super fun to make! I just might churn out a few more, to help get that Christmas cardmaking list under control :)

I really love how these simple touches transform this print into a festive one with ease!

  3. So true about the wonderful, year round versatility of a splendid print like this gem.

Beautiful cards, dearest Ivana. Like most years, I'm starting my holiday cards well into fall, and have begun this week. Two made so far - and in one day to boot. I honestly can't recall the last time that happened (I'm far from the world's speediest crafter, lol).

Wishing you a cozy, wonderful weekend.
