With Love and Sympathy - Guesting at Trinity Stamps

We craft for holidays, birthdays, thank you's and just because...
But when life throws us a hard time, we sometimes feel paralyzed - creatively and otherwise. Loss of loved ones, in particular, can leave us helpless, speechless, and throw our creativity on its head.
I don't know about you friends, but in these times, I find it especially challenging to put forth a creative, hand-made gesture. So while not my favorite of topics to create for, I like having a sympathy card (or two) ready.
While I hope to never have to reach into that pile, I take comfort in knowing that in difficult times, I have a handmade greeting of comfort ready, which is just what may be needed.
I also make sure to always create something happy right afterwards (a sort of superstition I hold) and I think it helps keep the not-so-happy things away.

The set I used to make my first card today, offers other sweet sentiments, and the pretty florals can be colored up in many ways. I choose cheery, yet soft colors here. I colored in the florals with my Copic markers, and instead of blending, used some darker shades to add a few lines to the pink florals.

I blended some ink for the background, and heat-embossed the sentiment on some vellum. I also added in a few little sequins and Nuvo drops, as well as a button and a twine ribbon.

I created my second project super quickly and just for fun! I can always use tags and cards that have a simple, multi-purpose greeting. I keep these little fellas around for those days when I'm in a rush.

I combined the Happy Senti-mini stamps along with the Floral Cross stamps here for a very joyful little greeting. I also added in some Unicorn Parade confetti and some Cocktail Ring confetti around the design. All topped off with a lacy bow and a pretty button.

That wraps up my 'little bit of joy' and a 'little bit of sorrow' post and how I create for the not-so-happy moments in life. Thank you so much for visiting!
