This little number took a twist from the original design rather swiftly. Yesterday I shared a little hint at what transpired, and here is the rest of the story!
All is well, and eventually, it turned into one I think I like even better, but not without a fight lol
I started off the card by painting a large panel using the Blooms and Berries Background stamp and a heap of Color Crush re-inkers. It's such a gorgeous stamp design and looked marvelous all colored up, but whichever way I styled it, it just didn't feel 'right'. Maybe it was my mood, or the lighting, or just my perspective at 3 am lol...Whatever the case, I decided to keep going with it.
And I'm so glad I did. Because this stamp set looks SO good as a frame!
Sometimes the biggest frustrations turn into the happiest accidents if you just keep going :)
I used the Stitched Shaker Window dies to cut out the inner part of the design, leaving only a beautiful edge.
On the inside, I added a scalloped strip, a Scripty sentiment, and a floral accent with a tiny tag.
This card brings to mind one of my favorite quotes..
"A painting (or a card!) is never finished...It simply stops in interesting places."
-Paul Gardner
