It's a chilly September morning...
As I look out my window at the frosty dew covering, I am reminded to pause and take in the beauty of every changing day. It won't be long now before winter is upon us, and I so badly wish that wasn't so. Therefore, I'm doing all I can to freeze this fleeting moment in today's card :) Shimmery embossing powder inspired by the frost, and my favorite combination of warm, Autumn colors make for a striking mix, no? Isn't nature the ultimate inspiration?
To start my card, I heat-embossed the beautiful Floral Wallpaper print in white, and masked the sides with some non-tacky tape. I used my TSM blending brushes to achieve the soft, ombre blend, with a combination of my favorite hues (Rusty, Peach, Blush). If you pop over to Insta, you can read allll about my love for this Rusty hue..it's definitely a favorite!
To decorate the top, I heat-embossed the floral once again, cuting it with this circle die (which will get saved for another card). This time, I used the Platinum Sparkle embossing powder from Wow! and layered a heaping of mini Autumn Leaves stamped up in coordinating colors.
For the blending, I left the center white, so that the vellum leaves would look as white and wispy as possible. Along the way, I discovered a little tip, especially if you desire a soft blend. I have finally cased how to get it perfect every time.

TIP
Soft, dreamy brushes are the KEY to soft ink application. This approach takes almost any color in a very pastel direction. Even in the case of bold colors, the color will apply lightly, so if a bolder look is desired, you can build the color for a more saturated look. But it can take a bit of time. Thus, for saturated looks, I recommend traditional foam blenders for a speedier application. While it can feel inconvenient to use two blending systems, it can help make or break the outcome. If you are just starting out with blending, I do recommend to try brushes first, as they are easier to blend and build in color, and will help you get a dreamy look (even if you are a novice).

To finish off my card, I added heaps of sparkle (inspired by the frost) with gems, and this gorgeous new Diamond Glitter cardstock from TSM which I’ve used to cut the sentiment.
I cannot wait to dive into these sparkly goodies more once my desk transitions into all things Christmas! Sending you cozy, happy wishes, sweet Friends :)

Totally beautiful work of art, Ivana! I do hope TSM will have ink cubes. I'd "have" to get the rusty & peach! Waiting for the small Autumn leaves to get back in stock--so pretty & not too expensive for the dies!
